TOUR PROGRAM

At 8:00 am your guide will meet you at the hotel lobby, and cycle to Tay Tuu flower village, about 30km from Hanoi city center. The village has become famous for its large variety of beautiful flowers that not only grace local markets but are also exported abroad, and all the households in the village have become involved in this industry. We will cycle among the blooming flower fields with any stops to talk to farmers if you like. Our tour guide will tell you more about the life cycle of a flower in Hanoi market, and Tay Tuu important role to Hanoi people.

At around noon time, take a short cycle to Dong Ngac cultural village via Ve local market. This is an ancient village and a cultural heritage site in honor of its educated and heroic people recognized by the kings of Vietnam. Say hello to the host of the Pham family who already prepared your lunch. Relax on some reclining chairs in the fragrant retreat of your host’s village garden. We are very happy to talk to the family and they will share the village history with you. Afternoon you continue on your cultural village experience by walking to the oldest house in the village of the Do family, which is more than 300 years old and the one of the Nguyen family which was rewarded by the King.

At around 14:30, you cycle back to your hotel. End of the day-trip.

BEFORE TOUR

Please remember to take with you: cap, camera. The tour can be started rather late at 9:00 morning for your preparation before cycling.

The one day cycling tour to Tay Tuu flower village can be customized for small groups tours, holidays with kids. The ride is easy as you mostly cycle on flat roads, especially along the Red river dyke. The best time to travel this one day biking tour is before the Tet Festival (usually mid Jan – early Feb) when all farmers are harvesting flowers for Tet” Vietnamese Lunar new year.

Private cooking class is surely provided at one of the ancient houses in Dong Ngac village, but you should book us extra apart from this Hanoi cycling tour. The surcharge for cooking class is US$ 25/person with “Nem ran” spring-rolls, “Dau Phu Mam Tom” soya Tofu with shrimp-paste, “Bun” soft-noodles, “Canh ca chua” Tomato hotpot, and of course traditional herbs. After watching your host then practice yourself and then the best part of all, try your dishes!
