TOUR ITINERARY

DAY 1 HO CHI MINH CITY ARRIVAL (no meals)

Private airport pick-up from Tan Son Nhat international airport to your hotel with our tour guide. He will be welcoming you at the exit gate of Tan Son Nhat airport with a placard writing your flight number and your names.
Check in the hotel and free leisure at night.
Note: You can walk to visit Ben Thanh night market near from your hotel.

DAY 2 MY THO – BEN TRE (MEKONG DELTA) (B,L)

After breakfast, at 8:30, the tour guide and private driver pick you up from your hotel. You depart for Mekong delta. After 2 hours driving, you arrive at My Tho city. Overview floating fish houses by boat. Motorized boat ride to Con Phung (Phoenix Island) of Ben Tre province. The province is home of coconut, you can buy handicraft made from coconut trees.

Around 12:00 AM: Have lunch on the island with delicious local dishes.

After lunch is the time to explore amazing Mekong canals. Motorized boat cruise along natural creeks and quiet villages in Ben Tre province. Visit orchards, bee-keeping house, enjoy honey tea, seasonal tropical fruit and traditional music.

Rowing-boat ride along small mangrove palm creek (mangrove palm or Nypa-frutican known as “dừa nước” in Vietnam)
See coconut candy production process. Around 3:00 PM: Get on the bus to come back Ho Chi Minh City. On the way back drop by Mekong Rest Stop for short break.

Drive back to the hotel for overnight.

DAY 3 CU CHI TUNNELS – HALF DAY WALKING CITY TOUR (B)

After breakfast, at 8:00, you will depart for Cu Chi tunnels. Around 9:30 am, arrive at Cu Chi tunnels, view short video film and presentation about Cu Chi tunnels, before try a real experience with the world well known tunnels. For those interested there is an opportunity to fire off rounds from an AK47 or MK16 gun at the nearby rifle range. Lunch at a local restaurant (Lunch is arranged by yourselves).

In the afternoon, start your walking tour around the District 1 of this city. Start from Reunification Palace the former headquarter of South Vietnam government before 1975, which is now also an interesting museum. Contemplate its structure and know more about the president’s life and Vietnam – America war. Take a short walk to Notre Dame Cathedral Saigon nearby since 1880, attracting not only Catholics but also most tourists for its neo-Romanesque style architecture and a sacred atmosphere, and Central Post Office designed by Gustave Eiffel and built between 1886 and 1891. Turn into Dong Khoi street formerly named as Rue Catinat famous in the prominent novel “The Quiet American” by Graham Greene, and take your memorial photos in front of the People’s Committee Building. Passing by Bitexco Financial Tower, a glitzy modern skyscraper rising behind a colonial façade. Stop at Ben Thanh market, the busiest market of the city, it’s time for your free shopping. End of walking tour at Ben Thanh market and take a taxi back to your hotel.

DAY 4 HO CHI MINH CITY – DEPARTURE (B)

After breakfast, free leisure in the morning. 3 hours before your flight departure time, our private driver will pick you up from your hotel to Tan Son Nhat airport (no tour guide). See you off at Tan Son Nhat international airport. End of services.
