The 1st night on Halong Dragon Cruise and the last 2 nights in Cat Ba “Whisper of Nature” Bungalow is a good idea for who wants to combine Halong UNESCO World Heritage with quiet relaxation in rural area of Cat Ba island.

TOUR PROGRAM

DAY 1 HANOI – HALONG (L,D)

8:00 – 8:30 am Pick up from your hotel inside Hanoi Old quarter by our tour guide. 3.5 hour bus transfer from Ha Noi to Ha Long city.

12.15: you arrive in Ha Long. Enjoy welcome drinks, cruise briefings and check-in your traditionally styled cabin on Halong Imperial junk. Vietnamese lunch is served while passing the symbol of Ha Long bay “Fighting Cocks” Rock.

Visiting the Sung Sot cave with many stalactites in numerous attractive forms and shapes.

Kayaking admist the sunset & Swimming among the bay

Delectable seafood dinner will be served, then let’s join Squid fishing & Karaoke singing

Overnight on Halong Dragon Cruise.

DAY 2: HALONG – LAN HA BAY – WHISPER OF NATURE BUNGALOW (B,L,D)

7:45 Breakfast, tea and coffee will be served

8:30 Enjoy breakfast and cruising south towards Lan Ha bay with transfer boat. We then free and easy for swimming in Lan Ha bay. Short break for lunch.

In the afternoon, we will disembark at Viet Hai harbour, cycling 5 km through jungles to Whisper of Nature Bungalow, Viet Hai village.

Short trek inside Cat Ba National Park to Bat cave then back to the Bungalow to check in your bungalow. Private bicycles are arranged for you to cycle around Viet Hai village in the afternoon.

Dinner and overnight in Whisper of Nature Bungalow.

DAY 3: VIET HAI VILLAGE – FREE LEISURE (B,L,D)

All-day free at leisure in the bungalow. Private bicycles are arranged for you. You can walk or cycle around the village to know more about the locals’ life.
Tour guide is not arranged on this day.
Breakfast, lunch, dinner and overnight in Whisper of Nature Bungalow.

DAY 4: CAT BA – HALONG – HANOI (B,L)

Wake up early to see the sunrise over the calm water of Lan Ha bay. After breakfast at 7:30, you check out and cycle back to Viet Hai harbour. The boat sails you back to Ha Long harbour through the symbols of the bay as Fighting Cocks islet, Burning Incense islet or Rocky Dog islet. Lunch is served on board or at local restaurant in Halong city.

After lunch, get on bus and return to Ha Noi. Arrive Ha Noi at around 17:00. See you off at your hotel in Hanoi Old quarter. End of services.

Whisper of Nature bungalow is located inside Viet Hai village. The village is a peaceful image of rural area and also inside Cat Ba national park. WHISPER OF NATURE BUNGALOW (VIET HAI VILLAGE)

“Bungalow” means a 1-storey house house from natural/green materials such as palms, rocks, wood or thatched-roof. And Whisper of Nature bungalow looks like this concept exactly.

This is an ideal base hiding away from the world as it was for Vietnamese soldiers during Vietnam – French war 70 years ago. There are only about 100 households in the village connecting with Cat Ba downtown by 2 daily boats.

The facilities for tourism is not much. Whisper of Nature bungalow opened since 2009 and until now, it is the only home for tourists in the village. Accordingly, you can’t dine out because there’s only the bungalow restaurant serving Vietnamese and “a bit” Western meals.

PROs: Very quiet, idylic, natural and friendly atmostphere. Inside Cat Ba National park. Good for sightseeing and taking photos. Very good room rates and meals. Some staff and chef can speak English. Facilities are modern enough with Kingsized beds, hot shower and air-conditions.

CONs: Far from beach. If you want to enjoy beach, you have to rent a private boat to Monkey island or Van Boi island (7km from Viet Hai village)
