DETAIL ITINERARY
DAY 1 HANOI – BAI TU LONG BAY CRUISE – HALONG BAY (L,D)
8:00 – 8:30 The cruise tour guide and shuttle bus pick you up from your hotel, departing for Halong city through the countryside, farmlands and Red River delta. Arrive at Hon Gai habour, Halong city at noon. Check in your cruise. Enjoy welcome drinks then lunch is served while cruising through the Bai Tu Long bay to Halong bay.
Visit splendid Surprise (Sung Sot) Cave, which is the most beautiful grotto in Halong bay with thousands of stalagmites, stalactites and many legend stories about that.
16h30: Time for kayaking around Surprise cave area. You will have got around 45 minutes to explore Halong bay and some tunnels with our tour guide.
Back to the cruise, cruising to Drum cave for docking and overnight. Passing many beautiful islets on the bay as Head man’s face islet, Saddle horse islet, Fairy lake, drum cave, Virgin cave. Time for relaxing afternoon, make the most of sunbathing on deck. Taking photos on the way. Enjoy the small party with fresh fruit and Vietnamese tea.
19h00: Dinner is served on board. Leisure time to enjoy a chat around the bar, dancing, karaoke; watch movie or enjoy night fishing. Overnight on cruise.
DAY 2 VUNG VIENG FISHING VILLAGE – HON GAI HARBOUR – HANOI (B,L)
Start your day with Tai Chi class on sundeck and welcome sunrise. 07h00: Breakfast, coffee and tea and served while cruising ahead to Bai Tu Long bay. The route is really serene and Bai Tu Long bay islets are really imposing.
08h15: Rowing small local bamboo boat (around 1 hour) to visit Vung Vieng fishing village. Our guide will give you some information and interesting facts about this fascinating village and its local community. Back to the cruise. Keep sailing back to the Hon Gai harbour through the waters and passing many beautiful islets and island on the Bai Tu Long bay.

10h30: Vietnamese Cooking Class in the dining deck. You know how to make a fresh spring rolls “Nem” and mix “Nuoc mam” Vietnamese fish-sauce.
11h00: An early lunch is served. Check out your cabins. Arrive at the pier. Time to say goodbye to the crew
Return from Halong to Hanoi with reststop on the way for short break. Around 17h00: Arrive in Hanoi. End of services.

BEFORE TOUR

Though its name mentions “Halong”, it actually operate in Bai Tu Long bay, using Hon Gai harbour in Bai Tu Long bay and the anchor site in Drum cave belongs to the area of the bay. The cruise offers a unique cruise itinerary combining both Bai Tu Long bay trip and Halong bay. Looking at the map below, you will see the itinerary covers a large area of both 2 bays. Most of other cruises offers the blue line itinerary only, getting to the anchor site and returning to Halong city on the same route. Meanwhile, Legacy cruise offers the red line of Day 2 extended to Bai Tu Long bay and Vung Vieng fishing village, which is different from the blue line of Day 1.
Bai Tu Long bay is becoming a must thing to do apart from Halong bay and Sapa. Contrast to Halong bay, Bai Tu Long is much less crowded and less travelled. The bay is 4 times bigger than Halong bay with only 40 overnight boats operate since 2008.
